  • Following the Mnet vote manipulation controversy, it was revealed that Han Chowon and Lee Gaeun had placed 6th and 5th place, respectively.

Vote rigging controversy[]

In July of 2019, during the airing of Produce X 101's finale, fans suspected a rigging in the votes through specific number patterns.[1]. An investigation was held on August 20, 2019, where producer Ahn Joon-young admitted that the votes had been manipulated.[2] On November 6, 2019, he and Kim Young-bum were arrested. Due to the controversy, the release date for IZ*ONE's first Korean Studio album BLOOM*IZ, which was set to release on November 11, 2019, was delayed, and IZ*ONE and X1 temporarily halted activities.

On January 6, 2020, the agencies representing each X1 member announced that the group would disband after not being able to reach an unanimous agreement to move on.[3]

On January 23, 2020, Mnet announced that IZ*ONE would resume activities starting in February.[4]
