FEARLESS is the debut mini album by LE SSERAFIM. It was released on May 2, 2022 with "FEARLESS" serving as the title track.
This was their only release as a six-member group, with Kim Garam taking a hiatus two weeks after the album's release, before ultimately leaving the group and their agency following the termination of her exclusive contract on July 20, 2022, due to a school bullying controversy.
The physical release of the album is available in three versions: "Vol.1 Black Petrol", "Vol.2 Blue Chypre", and "Monochrome Bouquet".
Background[]
On April 13, 2022, a teaser photo posted across the group's social media announced the album's name, format, and release date.[1][2] On April 19, the group's debut trailer for FEARLESS was released, titled "The World Is My Oyster", which derives from the first track of the same name in the album.[3]
Commercial Performance[]
On April 21, 2022, it was reported that FEARLESS had surpassed 270,000 copies sold within the first week of its pre-order period.[4] A week later, on April 30, YG PLUS revealed that pre-orders for the album had exceeded 380,000 copies.[5] The album broke the record for weekly sales for a debut album by a girl group on Hanteo, selling 300,000 copies in its first week.[6]
